No Man's Sky
No Man's Sky was another good experience on the Mini. For the main preset tests I disabled AA, which also leaves MetalFX off. I don't particularly like the resulting image, the edges are very jarring and the game felt detail heavy but with a strange shimmer due to the heavy aliasing. There's an additional High capture with MetalFX Temporal at Quality, as this smoothed out those artefacts and gave us an improvement in quality, which is the setting I'd actually choose for playing.

nyaaBench capture
Gameplay capture. Exact route and game version were not recorded. Frame rate and latency are once-a-second summaries; telemetry is sampled every 250 ms. Dashed lines mark each capture's average.
High without 'AA' averages , compared with in the MetalFX Temporal Quality capture. These are separate gameplay captures in the same area rather than some identical route, but the combination of image quality and speed made High with Temporal Quality my preference. Ultra without AA averages 40.17fps, which is a sizeable cost for settings I found less appealing to use.
